The role of the space and art designer is to evaluate a space, create a concept and design
for the art needed in that space, and implement the concept. This person’s role is to provide the
client with a comprehensive service in selecting the right artwork that fits their space and adds value
to their brand.
Education
- BS Degree in Visual Arts; Interior Design; Architectural Design
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position and knowledge of local and regional artists
Skills
- Bilingual-English/Arabic; Spoken & Written
- MS Office, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and Illustrator
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- An eye for design and an ability to come up with creative solutions
List of major responsibilities and duties
- Prepare proposals for client which includes concept, design and presentation; using programs such as Photoshop or 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and Illustrator
- Advise clients on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout presentations, color schemes using appropriate artwork that fits their space and add value to their brand
- Understand the client needs and come up with various concepts, paying attention to details of the space in order to meet client expectations
- Collect data concerning artists and artwork
- Carry out research, and develop detailed designs often using computer software to show the overall design
- Coordinate the project for it to be carried out effectively
- Keep self and management updated with the latest interior design and art trends, tools, technology, etc.
- Integrate findings with knowledge of interior design and formulates practical plans, conducive to intended purposes such as adding value to brand, utilizing accessible artwork or improving image presentation using our resources
- Perform any other relevant tasks as required by the head of department
