Sustainability Consultant - SETS - Lebanon

The suitable candidate shall be a degree qualified professional (electrical, mechanical, environmental or construction management) with 5-6 years of experience in a similar role. He must be a LEED accredited professional (LEED AP) with hands-on experience in administering the entire certification process of medium/large scale projects according to the ‘New Construction & Major Renovation’ and the ‘Core & Shell’ LEED rating systems or other sustainability certification schemes as applicable.

The applicant must have completed at least 2 LEED-certified projects while serving in a similar role. Previous involvement in the Estidama Pearl rating system and Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS) is desirable

Role Description
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- A/R to understand projects requirements, interpret briefs, propose creative approaches, and recommend the ideal solutions to best answer the briefs
- A/R to ensure recommendations are client-business-focused and to understand the cost implications of proposed solutions on projects budgets
- A/R to work alongside architectural and interior design firms, cater to their project requirements, and demonstrate how valuable the casafekra service is to them
- A/R to play a key role in assisting the sales-development-team convince clients of recommendations
- A to assist in the preparations and submittal of sales offers (quotations, technical specifications sheets, renderings, finishes samples, etc.)
- A to supervise purchasing and inspect pre-qualification and approval of manufacturers and suppliers

Parallel Responsibilities
- Establish casafekra as a specialized resource (and advisor) upon which the professional industry relies
- Establish high industry-standards, deliver the highest level of professionalism and a remarkable added-value consultancy; exceed client expectations
- Lead the design department at casafekra, manage and develop interior designers with FF&E specialization within the team
- Research and identify new potential brands/suppliers/manufacturers and new potential third party suppliers to collaborate with
- Recommend and apply improvements to the solutions-development process within casafekra
- Optimize company resources to achieve time/cost efficiencies and deliver high performance

Candidate’s Profile
- A creative, inventive, and resourceful interior designer with deep knowledge of the following four pillars:
o Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment
o the human dimension (behavior, psychology, sociology, and wellbeing)
o public/contract spaces (concept, purpose, functionality, needs and restrictions)
o business implications of space usage (to generate the required return-on-investment for projects)
- A resourceful FF&E specialist, passionate about furniture, and with experience oriented towards contract seating & complements

Knowledge
- Highly developed knowledge of the furniture industry [manufacturers/suppliers, brands, designers]
- Technical knowledge of furniture & space standards [ergonomics, standards & specifications, Neufert, etc.]
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry/channel [hotels, restaurants, coffee-shops], its possibilities, challenges, and constraints (a major plus)
- Commercial & logistics knowledge [budget, procurement, invoicing, shipping procedures]
- Excellent command of following tools/programs: AutoCAD 2D/3D, 3DS-Max, V-Ray, Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Good command of Microsoft Office [mainly PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel], and search engines

Background & Experience
- University graduate with a masters or bachelor degree in interior and/or product design
- FF&E expertise: minimum of 5 years of solid, responsible FF&E experience within a professional renowned architectural firm
- Excellent track record and professional reputation
- Proven experience in interpretation of client briefs then preparing and presenting fitting recommendations
- Solid experience in studying furniture tenders/BOQs and in preparing bids
- Experience working with contractors, developers, and buyers
